Well Jeff Mathis was banished to Canada because in America we prefer players to hit over .200. With Chris Iannetta obviously being a huge upgrade offensively, did the Angels management underestimate his ability to handle the pitching staff?
Most experts predicted the Angels to have one of the best staffs in all of baseball, yet they are off to a awful slowwww start. Maybe the automatic out weak hitting Mathis was more valuable then anyone imagined.
